Photojournalism

Photojournalism is all about pictures, and allowing the pictures to tell the story. This profession requires research, passion and travelling in order to see beyond what the news depicts. Photojournalism brings awareness to important issues that are taking place around the world. Issues such as poverty, famine, riots, even wars. 

Photojournalism is a form of expression. It allows for its viewers to see and feel what words cannot express. It is important for society to know whats going on around the world. To become a photojournalist you would need Bachelor's degree in journalism, photography, visual communications or a related field. Required skills are Photo editing, writing, proofreading, reporting and photographic techniques. The school, Consensual College Canada gives you a 3 year program in journalism. Tuition is 2,935 CAD/year, and its here in Toronto.
